@etank Ya I noticed that I also got an email about it (waiting for permission to post it). I have added a More Info link that links to more info about ssh tunneling on the synergy website and that is a great ubuntu tutorial if you are worried about security.

Who knows maybe quicksynergy will one day include ssh tunneling or maybe even synergy its self.</description>

It is also in the man page for synergyc (the client side of synergy). Once setup no one should be able to sniff the connection.</description>
